Budget smartphone maker Infinix has some experience making laptops, with models like the Infinix ZERO BOOK 13 y Infinix INBook Y2 Plus launched as low-cost alternatives to more established OEMs. The company now plans to enter the lucrative gaming laptop market (via @StuffListings, @TechAgama in X) with the upcoming Infinix GT BOOK. The Infinix GT BOOK will have an interesting mix of hardware. For the CPU you can choose between Core i5-12450H, Core i5-13420H, Core i7-13620H y Core i9-13900H. The cross-gen shenanigans continue with the GPU as well, offered by the GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 4050 y RTX 4060 as options. Both the CPU and GPU have access to a combined power of 115 watts, which can cause slowdowns on either of them, especially under demanding workloads. As for memory, it has 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB/1 TB of internal storage.
Infinix plans to include a surprisingly decent display in the GT BOOK. It will come with a 16-inch 16:10 panel (resolution not specified) with 300 nits of maximum brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut. However, you will have to play with the game settings and activate DLSS to get 120 FPS in most current titles. The laptop is light on I/O with just one USB C port, 2 USB A ports, 1 HDMI port, an SD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Other specs on the Infinix GT BOOK include Wi-Fi 6E (select models only), on-the-fly performance switching, a programmable RGB backlight, a 1080p webcam, and a 72Wh battery that comes with a 192W charger with power jack. barrel.
