Time.news – The judge presiding over Donald Trump’s historic criminal trial has threatened to throw the former president in prison if he doesn’t stop speaking in court. Trump continually violates the gag order imposed by the judge. “Although I do not want to impose a prison sentence I want you to understand that I am prepared to do so,” Judge Juan Merchan said.

The judge barred Trump from verbally attacking witnesses and jurors and fined him an additional $1,000 “for violating his order by making public comments about the jury and how it was selected.” He warned that future violations would be “punishable by imprisonment”.
