Washington: Opposition to President Joe Biden’s possible plan to accept Palestinian refugees during the war between Israel and Hamas has started in America. Republican Senator Ron Johnson has strongly criticized Biden’s plan, calling it a threat to national security. In fact, the Biden administration is planning to allow Palestinians living in America to bring their family members as refugees. Opposing this, the Wisconsin senator has said that Palestinian children should remain confined inside Gaza.
Teaching hatred to Palestinian children
Speaking to Fox News, Johnson stressed that Palestinian children should not be granted asylum in the US. Explaining the reason for this, he said that Palestinian children are “taught to hate” and they should be allowed to remain in Gaza. He blamed refugees for the pro-Palestinian protests that have rocked America’s top academic campuses, saying this is because Arab countries have not accepted Palestinian refugees. If they had done this we would not have had this problem.
Why don’t Arab countries accept Palestinian refugees?
Ron Johnson, explaining why Arab countries do not accept Palestinian refugees, said, “The way young children in Palestine are indoctrinated to hate not only Jews, but all infidels, is horrifying.” The Republican senator described Palestinians as a dangerous people and said that is why “they try to keep them in Gaza and the West Bank.”
Israel campaign support
Senator Johnson supported the ongoing Israeli campaign in Gaza and said, what is needed today is for Israel to eliminate Hamas and then try to live in peace with those Palestinians who are willing to do so. He said, “Why would you increase the threat by bringing in the Palestinians? We have to accept that they see us as infidels. They hate us, not just the Jews.”
