In the Georgian parliament, before the start of the plenary session, where the bill on foreign agents was to be discussed, a fight broke out between representatives of the opposition and the ruling majority.

As Day.Az reports, Georgian Telegram channels report this.

“The discussion of the bill on foreign agents in the Georgian parliament has been disrupted – clashes are taking place throughout the hall between deputies from the ruling party and the opposition,” the text says.

It is noted that the incident began with accusations from the opposition against the authorities regarding the actions of special forces.

The day before, a protest rally took place in Tbilisi in front of the Georgian parliament, where deputies were considering the bill “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” in the second reading. The protest escalated into clashes with the police; riot police repeatedly used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the demonstrators. 6 police officers were injured, 63 people were administratively detained.
