On May 14, the biggest update it has received arrives Diablo IV since its launch, an update that will begin Season 4 of the game, called “Reborn Loot“. The changes (which will be available in the seasonal and eternal realms) focus on updating the item system and adding new experiences to the Infernal Tide.
These are the main changes that this new update adds and that arrive with this Season 4:
- Item System Update: The way you interact with items has been significantly changed to improve the current system. The number of basic affixes has been reduced and will also be simpler from now on. The idea is to make it easier for players to review items and decide what is useful to them, then later upgrade and customize items to fit a specific build.
- Tempering: This is a new system that allows players to customize the equipment they find. If you want to access tempering, you will need to visit the blacksmith and select the recipe for tempering. A random affix from the recipe will then be linked to the item in question. Players will be able to find recipes in virtually all Sanctuary content.

- Codex of Power: The codex has been extensively updated based on community feedback. From now on, all legendaries will be added to the Power Codex so that players can constantly print the best version of said legendary on their team. Additionally, players will no longer need to carry Trait Crystals in their inventory.
- Greater Affixes: There will be a new type of rare affixes, the Greater Affixes, which will appear as ancestral loot at world level 4. Greater affixes will give higher values than their normal versions.
- Maximization: Once a player has applied all the affixes they want to an item, they can upgrade these affixes to higher values. Once you’ve completed your build and have the best items, test yourself in the Pit.
- The Pit: Players who have maxed out their build can test themselves in this new endgame system and unlock rare crafting materials to continue maxing out their gear.
- Infernal Tides: Infernal Tides include several new activities. Now players will encounter more cultists trying to summon demons, and soothsayers created from the wretches who have been caught in the chaos. Those who manage to survive long enough in the updated Infernal Tides will face the Infernatos, former heroes of Sanctuary who have allied themselves with the infernal hosts. Defeat the infernatos to obtain materials that will allow you to participate in the cursed rituals.
- Cursed Rituals: These are disrupted Cultist rituals that players can activate to draw demons and monsters into fierce battle. Survive this demonic onslaught and you will be visited by the Blood Lady, a new mini-boss of the Infernal Tide who represents the final challenge of this experience.
- Iron Wolves: The Iron Wolves have declared war on hell and want you to bring them the head of the Bloody Lady. Join forces with them and progress with Call of Wolves activities to accumulate honor. This honor is used to unlock rewards with which to get more out of the season diary.
