Things remained exciting in Vösendorf until the end. Almost two hours after voting closed, the result of the municipal council election in the Lower Austrian municipality was still not clear. But shortly before 6 p.m., Mayor Hannes Koza (ÖVP) addressed the media and his supporters who had gathered in Vösendorf Castle with an “internal information”: According to this, his party is making massive gains and has achieved an absolute majority with 17 seats. The SPÖ loses two mandates and gains ten seats in the local council. The V2000 citizens’ list has three mandates, the FPÖ has two, and the Greens one.
