jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chairman of the PAN Expert Council, Drajad Wibowo, considers Surya Paloh a statesman, so the NasDem Chairman admitted that he was reluctant to ask the President-elect of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, for a ministerial slot.

“Regarding Bang Surya’s hesitation, that is because he is a statesman and figure who really understands political principles,” said Drajad via message service, Friday (3/5).

After all, said the former deputy chairman of the PAN faction, NasDem in the 2024 presidential election will be the political party supporting candidate pair number one Anies Baswedan, so Paloh is reluctant to ask for a ministerial slot.

“I could be wrong, but maybe Bang Surya is embarrassed that NasDem has just joined and was previously the number one motorbike pair,” said Drajad.

However, he said, Prabowo is a figure who has a deep understanding in politics and has been friends with Paloh since the two figures were together in Golkar.

From there, Drajad thinks that NasDem will get a ministerial seat in the next government when the political party number five in the 2024 election joins the Prabowo era government.

“So it feels like the cabinet seats for NasDem are automatic, even though the number may not be as large as PAN and the Democrats who supported Prabowo-Gibran (Rakabuming Raka, ed.),” he said.

Previously, Paloh felt reluctant to ask for a ministerial slot after NasDem decided to support Prabowo’s government.
