Through its affiliated company, Bienestar Gasoline, Mexican Petroleum (Pemex) sold 380 million dollars in oil products to Cuba during 2023, according to a document delivered to the US markets.

Pemex exported 16,800 barrels of crude oil per day (bpd) and 3,300 barrels of other oil derivatives for a total amount of 6,300 million pesos (almost 400 million dollars).

The oil company reported to the US markets that through its subsidiary Gasoline Wellbeing (Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable) since July 2023, energy was exported to the island of Cuba.

The document sent to US regulatory bodies on April 30 states that these sales represented 1% of total crude oil exports and 0.6% of total sales derived from oil.

For Ramses Bad luckenergy expert, it is likely that there will be an agreement between the United States and Mexico so that our country can sell fuel to Havana, since otherwise, we would be subject to economic sanctions, within the framework of the embargo that the Americans have on Cuba. And even more serious is that our Government “would be failing to comply with the agreements we have signed in the T-MEC by bringing oil to the island.
