Apart from positive moments in your career, have there been people and situations that have made you bitter?
When my collaboration with Eleni Menegaki ended, all the journalists asked me “why did you fight with Eleni?”. I haven’t argued with her, I haven’t argued with anyone in my life. The time has come and we parted ways, we have no communication today, but we have nothing to separate. I was bitter, of course, that when she did her last show in her first TV retirement, she didn’t mention me. It’s okay though, love is great.
What do you think of her decision to quit television?
I would prefer that Eleni, when she stopped the first time, did not come back again. I think when you’re big and jerk at what you do, it’s good to quit when you’re high and not let your prestige fall. A great one, having arrived, must leave at the right moment, before it begins to fall. In total I have done 17 years of television, but the greatest things I did when I finished television with writing my books.
