We will continue to work to make the results even better.

Members of the Azerbaijani team told Trend about this on Saturday in the group all-around exercises at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup in Baku, Day.Az reports.

“Of course, there is still something to work on, we can perform better. We are happy with the bronze medal, but we will continue to work so that the results are even better,” said the team members.

Let us remind you that the Azerbaijani team in group exercises took third place in the all-around at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup in Baku.

The team included Gyullu Agalarzadeh, Kamilla Aliyeva, Elizaveta Luzan, Daria Sorokina, Lyaman Alimuradova and Zeinab Gummetova.

“The finals await us tomorrow, we will try to perform well. We wanted to express our gratitude to our coaches, choreographers, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, everyone who supports us. This is our common medal, a common victory,” said Lyaman Alimuradova.

Speaking about the upcoming European Championship, which will be licensed for the Olympic Games, the graces noted that they will fight to the end to win a license.

“Of course, we will fight to the end to win a license. This is our first and main goal at the European Championships, we will also fight for medals,” said Lyaman Alimuradova.

According to Zeinab Gummetova, the gymnasts are glad that Baku is hosting the first European Cup in rhythmic gymnastics.

“We are glad that we can compete at these competitions. The format of the European Cup in the individual program is new. We would be interested if cross-battles were also held among teams in group exercises,” she said.

It should be noted that the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup takes place on May 3-5 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Representatives from 37 countries take part in the competition. Gymnasts perform in two age categories – “seniors” (individual program and group exercises) and “juniors” (individual program).
