The concert presented by the artistic duo composed by the Egyptian Shady Rabab and the Tunisian-Algerian Rafik Rezine, was marked by the presentation of a bouquet of electronic music using unusual instruments made from recyclable waste, to produce sounds inspired by the noises made by waste like plastic bottles and metal cans.
In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Shady Rabab expressed his happiness to visit Morocco and take part in the Visa For Music Festival, “a dream that is coming true”, adding that this participation constitutes an opportunity for him and his partner to present their music which fuses African and particularly North African sounds.
The artist indicated that he had developed a passion for the manufacture of traditional musical instruments, stemming from his attachment to rare and exotic sounds, adding that this passion pushed him to devote himself to the manufacture of “original” musical instruments. from recyclable waste.
In a similar statement, musician Rafik Rezine noted that the music presented by the duo reflects their interest in the African and Mediterranean identity of North African countries, noting that their productions are inspired by the cultural heritage of Morocco, from Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt.
According to him, “the warm interaction of the audience who attended the concert represents clear proof of their admiration and enthusiasm for this type of music.”
Organized from November 22 to 25 under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 10th edition of the Visa For Music Festival offers more than 60 new musical concerts, in addition to the organization of 15 meetings, conferences and workshops.
