In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo said he will approve the recreational use of marijuana law. The two chambers of the American state decided in their votes. Once it goes into effect, New York will be the 14th state in the country to allow the use of cannabis in this way.
In his statement, Cuomo mentions, “This historic legislation brings justice to long-marginalized communities, fosters a new industry that will grow the economy, and establishes substantial safety guarantees for people.”
