Bulgarian citizen voters with a registered permanent and current address in various settlements on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria can submit a written request to the municipal administration at their current address (Appendix No. 26-EP or Appendix No. 27-NS of the election papers) in order to be entered in the electoral rolls of the section at their current registered address, until May 25, 2024. This was announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC), quoted by BTA.
When submitting one application for inclusion in an electoral roll at the current address, the voter is entered in both lists (for voting for members of the European Parliament and for voting for people’s representatives), if he has voting rights for both types of elections.
The application for voting at the current address can also be submitted electronically through the website of the Main Directorate “GRAO” in the Ministry of Regional Development.
Yesterday, the CEC withdrew the numbers of the parties and coalitions in the ballot for early parliamentary elections and in the ballot for elections for Bulgarian representatives in the European Parliament. The “2 in 1” vote will take place on June 9. The CEC has already informed that the ballots for the two types of elections will have a different color to make them easier to recognize.
The preparations for the elections are proceeding normally and on time, CEC Deputy Chairman Rositsa Mateva said at a briefing on Tuesday.
The election campaign starts at 00:00 on May 10, the commission reminded and called for tolerance during its conduct.
May 14 is the deadline for Bulgarian citizens living outside the country to submit an application for voting. At 17:00 on May 8, parties and coalitions can submit documents to participate in the partial local elections scheduled for June 23.
