jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR Ace Hasan Syadzily highlighted the raid on rosary prayers carried out by students in Setu, South Tangerang (Tangsel).

Ace reminded all parties not to hinder people from worshiping.

“Practicing worship is the right of every citizen. It should not be hindered. Especially if it is prevented by violent means,” said Ace, quoted by JPNN.com, Wednesday (8/5).

The Golkar politician asked the public not to commit violence or intimidate people who want to worship.

According to him, every problem must be resolved through dialogue.

“It is better for us to resolve this through dialogue and family discussion,” he continued.

Ace handed over the investigation of the case to law enforcement officials and encouraged perpetrators of violence against worshipers to be dealt with firmly.

“Legal officers must act firmly in accordance with applicable legal provisions against parties who commit acts of violence in any name, especially when acts of violence are carried out because they are trying to prevent people from carrying out their worship,” said Ace.
