The Federation of Associations of Women Entrepreneurs of Cameroon (FASFECAM) invites you from June 6 to 9, 2024 in Yaoundé for the very first National Women’s Entrepreneurship Exhibition (SNEF). The SNEF, a springboard for Cameroonian women entrepreneurs
This is a first that will go down in the annals of female entrepreneurship in Cameroon. For 4 days, the capital Yaoundé will vibrate to the rhythm of the National Women’s Entrepreneurship Exhibition (SNEF), a major event organized by the Federation of Associations of Women Entrepreneurs of Cameroon (FASFECAM). Stated objective: to offer women entrepreneurs in the country a unique platform for exchanges, capacity building and networking.
« The desired goal is the development and economic impact of Cameroonian women entrepreneurs”, underlines Elysée Deumany, the coordinator of the SNEF, during the launch press conference relayed by 237online.com. On the menu: concrete solutions to financing problems, standardization of products made in Cameroon and access to national and international markets. Enough to give a boost to projects carried out by women, the real engines of the national economy.
200 exhibitors, 5000 visitors: the SNEF is thinking big!
With 200 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors expected, the SNEF promises to be the big rally for female entrepreneurship in Cameroon. An XXL event which benefits from the strong support of two key ministries: the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Crafts (Minpmeesa) and the Ministry for the Promotion of Women and the Family (Minproff) .
Suffice it to say that the organizers have thought big and intend to make an impression. And for good reason: the SNEF aims to be a real giant incubator for the projects of women entrepreneurs, with tailor-made financing, training and support opportunities. All in a spirit of sharing and solidarity, values dear to the community of women business leaders.
Import-substitution at the heart of SNEF debates
But the SNEF will not just be a high mass for female entrepreneurship. It also aims to be a laboratory of ideas to rethink the Cameroonian economic model and the role of women in this strategic change. Hence the choice of the central theme: “Import-substitution facing the challenges of the structural transformation of the Cameroonian economy”.
A hot topic, as Cameroon seeks to reduce its dependence on imports and develop its local productive base.
