For their first in the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines, the French handball team faces the American selection this Saturday. Before fully beginning their preparation for the Paris Olympic Games, the reigning European champions are challenging a team they have not faced for almost thirty years.

Since their European coronation at the end of January, the French have played two friendly matches, against Argentina and Egypt, which they both won, in March. By facing the United States, Guillaume Gille’s men launch their Olympic preparation. Their Games will begin on July 27 against Denmark, their eternal rival, before meeting Norway two days later.
