Basketball
The playoffs of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) begin at the weekend. In a few days, eight or nine cities will host the quarter-final matches.
Although the Kėdainiai team did not make it to the playoffs, this city has not yet said goodbye to big basketball either. On Sunday, in Kėdainiai, the quarter-final rivals “Mažeikius” will be hosted by the most popular national club “Žalgiris” from Kaunas, and it is in Kėdainiai that the tickets for the quarter-final match are sold the cheapest. They cost 8 euros.
Jonava competes with Kėdainiai in terms of price. “Jonavos” club, which is waiting for Vilnius “Ryto” basketball players in the quarterfinals, sells two categories of tickets, which cost 8 and 12 euros.
In several other cities, the cheapest quarter-final tickets are priced similarly. Utena’s “Juventus” sells one-category tickets for 10 euros each, Panevėžys’ “Lietkabelis” tickets cost from 9 to 25 euros, Klaipėda’s “Neptūno” – 10 and 20 euros, Vilnius “Wolves” – from 11 to 22 euros (all ticket prices – for adults without discounts).
“Ryto” tickets cost a little more. This Vilnius club sells standing room tickets for 12.32 euros. Meanwhile, the price of tickets for seats is from 15.32 to 32.52 euros.
Those who want to enter the Telšiai Arena and see the match organized by the “Mažeikių” club against “Žalgiris” have to pay the most for the cheapest tickets. Tickets for these matches cost 19, 25 and 40 euros.
Tickets for places near the square not mentioned above. “Neptūnas” sells them for 36 euros, “Rytas” – for 77.97 euros, “Wolves” – for 99 and 199 euros.
By the way, both quarterfinal matches of the Vilnius team will be played at home on the same day. “Wolves” will host guests in the big arena on Oz Street, “Rytas” in the smaller arena of this club (Jeep Arena).
Football
Getting into a football stadium is possible with less money spent. Tickets for most A-League clubs don’t cost even ten euros, and in some places, two can go to a match for ten euros.
The A-League debutant Vilnius “Transinvest” club, which is holding matches at the Širvintos Stadium, allows its fans to enter for free.
Most other clubs sell single category tickets with unmarked seats. “Panevėžys” and “Bangas” tickets of Gargždų cost the least – just 5 euros each. “Džiugas” in Telšiai sells tickets for 6 euros each, “Hegelmann” in Kaunas – 6.39 euros each, “Šiauliai” and “Dainava” in Alytus – 8 euros each, “Žalgiris” in Vilnius – 10 euros each.
It is better to buy tickets in advance, because their sellers inform that “tickets will be more expensive on the day of the match”.
Tickets of several categories are sold by “Sūduva” of Marijampole and “Žalgiris” of Kaunas. The cheapest tickets for “Sūduva” cost 8 euros, Kaunas “Žalgirio” – 12 euros. Those going to the Kaunas “Žalgiris” match have to pay the most for the cheapest tickets.
“Sūduva” and Kaunas “Žalgiris” also sell “more luxurious” tickets. In Marijampolė, the most expensive tickets cost 17 euros, in Kaunas – 25 euros.
By the way, although the rebuilt Darius and Girėnos Stadium was opened in Kaunas, only “Žalgiris” plays there. Meanwhile, the “Hegelmann” club, which held several matches at this stadium last year, plans to host its opponents this season at the Prezident Adamkus VDU sports center on the outskirts of the city.
