“Kia” defends its leadership in Iraq from the “Toyota” attack in the car market, with an increase of 18%

/ Iraqi car sales during the year 2023 amounted to about 127,749 cars, an increase of 18.4%. The competition between “Kia” and “Toyota” makes Kia maintain the leadership in a small number of sales.

Focus 2 Move, a company specialized in providing data on car markets, stated in a report viewed by Agency that, “In terms of cumulative data for the year 2023 at the brand level, Kia cars are still in the lead, with 32,547 thousand cars sold, an increase of (8.8%), followed by (Toyota) second, whose total sales reached 32,204 thousand cars, an increase of (21.3%).

She explained, “(Hyundai) ranked third with 14,807 new registration cars, an increase of (35.6%) over the year 2022, and then (MG) came in fourth place with 12,700 cars, an increase of (135.4%), and (Chevrolet) cars came at 5,449 cars.” (+ 6.3%), Chery cars came in sixth place with 5,449 cars, a decrease of (29.5%), and (Suzuki -up 15) cars came in seventh place with 3,353 cumulative sales, an increase of (18.5%).

Changan maintained eighth place with 3,102 sales, an increase of 9.8%, followed by GMC with 2,542 sales, and finally Great Wall came with 2,110 sales.
