In what could be a new case of animal abuse in the Mexico Citythe possible presence of a “serial puppy killer” in the vicinity of the Xochimilco mayor’s officeespecially in the Nativitas Forest.

Neighbors in the area have reported the discovery of at least 24 puppies without vital signs in the Parque Bosque de Nativitas, just south of Plaza Xochimilco and adjacent to one of the docks of the Xochimilco canals between Madreselva Street and the Xochimilco-Tulyehulaco highway.

According to information from Foro TV, the puppies have been found dead over the last 11 months, that is, almost a year. And they all share some similar characteristics: being from medium size and creoles.

Neighbors told the media that the deaths of the dogs have been with great violence. The most recent victim was a puppy found dead this weekend, bringing the number of victims to 24.

“We have been in constant struggle for 11 months,” shared Aurea Magaña, a resident of Xochimilco, to Foro TV, reporting that The first case of which they have a record was in June 2023.

Most of the victims of this massive case of animal abuse have been males, with 21 cases, and 3 females.

Another resident of the area explained that the neighbors consider that the perpetrator is someone from the area since he apparently has knowledge of the area. The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City has an investigation folder in this regard.
