(Ahmed Mansoor) Army Chief General Asim Munir says that Martyrs and Ghazi are national heroes, there is no greater sacrifice than sacrificing one’s life for the defense of the country.
According to ISPR, the public relations agency of Pakistan Army, a military awards ceremony was held at GHQ Rawalpindi, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir was the chief guest. Attended by a large number, the Army Chief paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs.

ISPR further says that in the ceremony, the military officers and soldiers were awarded the Star of Imtiaz (Military), the Tagha Imtiaz (Military) and the Basalt Medal, the honors of the martyrs were received by their families. Appreciated the services.
Addressing the ceremony, the Army Chief said that there is no greater sacrifice than sacrificing one’s life for the defense of the motherland. Our martyrs are the ray of hope and stability for the nation.
