The field has one well with a depth of up to the Najma Formation. The field was discovered in 1975 by drilling the well above. The area of ​​the field is 1,809 square kilometers.

Al-Dhafriya field in Wasit Governorate was transferred to the Chinese Anten Oil Company. The area of ​​the field is 368 square kilometers, two wells were drilled, and it contains oil storage.
