New Delhi: Netherlands have named their 15-man squad for next month’s T20 World Cup, led by experienced Scott Edwards. The Royal Dutch Cricket Association has retained the 27-year-old Edwards as captain despite mediocre performances in the recent tri-series between hosts Nepal and Namibia.
Edwards has scored 671 runs at a strike-rate of 122 in 56 T20 Internationals for the Netherlands. Indian-origin cricketers Teja Nidamanuru, Vikram Singh and Aryan Dutt have also been included in the team. The Netherlands team is participating in the ICC competition for the third consecutive time after the T20 World Cup in 2022 and the ODI World Cup last year.

The team will start its T20 World Cup campaign against Nepal on June 4 in Dallas. Four days later, he will face a strong challenge from South Africa in New York. Its last two group matches are against Bangladesh (June 13) and Sri Lanka (June 17).
