Georgia will attract the private sector to implement the Azerbaijan-EU green corridor.

As Day.Az reports on Thursday with reference to Trend, this was stated by the Chairman of the Board of Governors and the Governor from Georgia at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili, speaking at a panel discussion on the topic “Improving connectivity: European connectivity (renewable Energy and Digital Connectivity), Middle Corridor (Changing Eurasian Connectivity)” at the ADB annual meeting in Tbilisi.

“As for the feasibility study, over the next few months we hope to have results. We are collaborating with our partner countries in the region as part of the project. We will work to attract funding from the private sector,” he said minister

According to him, it is necessary to use the potential of all countries in the region in the field of renewable energy sources.

Note that the theme of the 57th annual meeting, which will be held from May 2 to 5, is “Bridge to the Future.”

The first meeting of the Board of Governors will take place on May 4. The opening will mark the official start of the annual meeting. This is an event attended by honored guests from the host country. ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa and Georgian Finance Minister and Chairman of the ADB Board of Governors Lasha Khutsishvili will make statements.

The annual meeting provides ADB Governors with an opportunity to consider development issues and challenges facing the Asia-Pacific region. The meeting is regularly attended by several thousand participants, including finance ministers, central bank governors, senior government officials, representatives of the private sector, international and civil society organizations, youth, academia and the media.
