TEGUCIgalpa — A judge in Honduras on Tuesday ordered the arrest of the Central American country’s former president Juan Orlando Hernández. The United States had previously filed an extradition request for drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. Hernández has 24 hours to appear before the judge. A live regional TV broadcast showed the ex-president leaving his home in the capital, Tegucigalpa, accompanied by armed police.
