jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Directorate General of Land Transportation, Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has opened its voice regarding the accident of a tourist bus carrying students from Lingga Kencana Vocational School, Depok in the Ciater area, Subang, West Java, on Saturday (11/5) evening.
Head of the Legal and Public Relations Section of the Directorate General of Land Transportation, Ministry of Transportation, Aznal, said the status of the bus was suspected of not having a transportation permit.
This is known from the results of checking the Land Partner Application.
According to him, the status of passing the periodic test of the Trans Putera Fajar Bus with plate number AD 7524 OG which was carrying a group of Lingga Kencana Vocational School students, Depok, West Java, has expired.
“The status of passing the periodic test has expired on December 6 2023,” said Aznal in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday (11/5) evening.
The Ministry of Transportation stated that the incident with the tourist bus carrying a group of vocational school students was thought to be caused by brake failure.
The chronology, explained Aznal, was when the Trans Putera Fajar bus carrying a group of vocational school students was heading from Bandung to Subang.
However, said Aznal, the bus suddenly swerved to the right and hit a motorbike in the opposite lane and on the shoulder of the road, causing the bus to roll over.
