For its numerous parliamentary initiatives in favor of democracy and the rule of law in Guinea, the National Transitional Council has become, in the current transitional process, a partner of choice for the international community.

Under the leadership of its President Dr. Dansa KOUROUMA, the legislative body of the Transition is leading an all-out parliamentary diplomatic offensive, to establish the conviction of international organizations on the merits of the policy of rebuilding the State advocated by the President of the Republic, Lieutenant General Mamadi DOUMBOUYA.

In this dynamic, the President of the parliamentary institution was invited this Monday, April 29, 2024 to take part in the work of the political committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie. An invitation which comes a few weeks after the reintegration of Guinea into the ECOWAS Parliament.

Dr Dansa KOUROUMA took advantage of this other platform to sell the achievements of the Guinean Transition and reaffirm his country’s adherence to the multicultural and democratic ideals promoted by the Francophonie. In an educational approach, he explained the different stages taken by his institution as part of its legislative mission.
A participatory and inclusive process which allowed the national representation to work on a preliminary draft Constitution which responds to the deep aspirations of the Guinean populations.

The President of the CNT requested the involvement and support of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie and all brotherly and friendly countries, in the Transition processes underway in Africa, in order to help these countries succeed in their reforms. democratically based on the concerns of the populations.

It should be remembered that the APF’s objectives include, among other things, the defense of democracy and the rule of law, respect for human rights, the international influence of the French language and cultural diversity.
