Organized by the Ajial Center for training and social prevention in Tetouan, under the Rabita Mohammadia des Ulemas, this awareness event is part of the conclusion of the cinematographic training program for the production of an awareness capsule at the Ajial Center, supervised by the director and film researcher, Mohamed Said Derdabi
Some 17 awareness capsules out of the 25 received by the center competed for the first prize of this edition, under the theme “Digital dimension”, through which young creatives attempted to deliver a set of prevention and awareness messages.
The jury for this edition was made up of eminent personalities from the cinematographic, educational and intellectual scene in Morocco, notably the researcher and cinema thinker Hamid Aidouni, the director Jilali Ferhati and the human rights activist Hakima Fassi Fihri.
Speaking on this occasion, the secretary general of Rabita Mohammadia des Ulemas, Ahmed Abbadi indicated that the current generation is a “digital generation par excellence”, particularly with the selection of the word “App” as word of the year 2010 , giving digital technology a central place in communication, particularly among young people of this generation.
The concept of illiteracy has changed and is no longer linked to letters, he added, in a statement to MAP, noting that knowledge is now transmitted from direct sources (scenes, facts or places), to recipients through sound and image, whether they are readers or not.
And added that the mastery of these concepts has become essential, emphasizing that communication between young people on social networks is similar to an industry, with its rules, its common thread in communication, as well as other tools such as colors, sound or image. If these tools are not mastered, the interlocutor can lose attractiveness even if the subject is extremely important.
Regarding the theme of the next edition of the Ajial meeting of the awareness capsule, Mr. Abbadi indicated that the work will be done on the dimension of values, to which His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, grants a particular attention.
The Ajial center for training and social prevention, at the origin of these annual competitions, aims to lay the foundations of a strengthening educational approach to protect young people, support them and strengthen their skills and mechanisms to confront all dangerous behaviors that affect them, particularly within the school environment and society in general.
This preventive training project also aims to raise awareness and become aware of all the dangers and deviations, relying on the artistic and aesthetic dimension to dissect dangerous practices, and to train young people interested in this path, to become intellectuals. for their peers in the future.
