jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) said that the accident of a tourist bus carrying a group of students at Lingga Kencana Vocational School, Depok in Ciater, Subang, West Java, on Saturday (11/5) evening, was allegedly caused by brake failure.
“The accident is suspected to have been caused by a brake failure on the bus,” said Head of the Legal and Public Relations Section of the Directorate General of Public Relations of the Ministry of Transportation, Aznal, in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday evening.

The chronology is when the Trans Putera Fajar bus with plate number AD 7524 OG carrying a group of students from Lingga Kencana Vocational School, Depok, West Java was heading from Bandung to Subang.
However, the bus suddenly swerved to the right and hit a motorbike in the opposite lane and on the shoulder of the road, causing the bus to roll over.
He revealed that the unfortunate incident occurred at 18.45 WIB.
The Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation has coordinated with the police to continue to carry out in-depth investigations regarding the accident.
He said that the accident victims were rushed to several health facilities, including Ciereng Regional Hospital, Hamori Hospital, Jalancagak Community Health Center, and Palasari Community Health Center.
