The Ministry of Health informed the State Defense Council (CDE) to investigate the collusion of companies in the industrial and hospital gas market, during the Covid-19 pandemic, which was reported by the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (FNE) and involves Indura and Linde.
The Secretary of State declared that the accusation of collusion with medicinal gases is “very serious.” Especially during the pandemic, where the possibility of survival of millions of patients depended on access to oxygen.”

Furthermore, it instructs “the hospitals mentioned in the libel as allegedly affected by the collusion, to make available to the CDE all the information necessary to clarify the facts.”
In the text, it is argued that “this collusion would have affected our sector, by increasing the cost of essential medical supplies for health care, particularly for respiratory diseases. Furthermore, it can be observed that the time frame in which the events occurred involves the most critical period of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, which constituted a public health emergency of international importance (ESPIII), “which kept our country on health alert for more than three and a half years, and in which oxygen therapy treatment, dependent on the gases in question, was crucial.”
