MK Arjunan Master Award for Singer P Jayachandran

Singer P Jayachandran has bagged the second award of the Music Director MK Arjunan Master Foundation.
The Foundation officials announced at a press conference that Jayachandran has been nominated for this year’s award for his invaluable contribution to the field of film music in various languages. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a plaque designed by artist Sujathan and a citation.
The award will be presented at a function to be held at 3.30 pm on March 1, Arjunan Master’s 87th birthday at Thrissur Press Club Hall. Representatives of the people and eminent personalities from the film and cultural sectors will be present. Jayachandran was nominated for the award by a jury comprising screenwriter John Paul, poet Prabha Varma and musician Vidyadharan Master.
Foundation Patron Dr. CM Radhakrishnan, President Palluruthy Subair, Secretary Ashokan Arjunan, Vidyadharan Master, VK Prakashan, Sudhir Raj and Joseph Antony were present.
