The Sudanese Ministry of Overseas Affairs commented on the information of the “refusal to grant” the American envoy to Sudan, Tom Perillo, a visa to enter the nation.
The Sudanese “Al Rakoba” web site quoted the Sudanese Ministry of Overseas Affairs as confirming in a press release that “statements attributed to the American envoy in regards to the authorities’s refusal to grant him an entry visa are incorrect.”
The ministry indicated that “the Sudanese embassy in Washington or in another capital didn’t obtain a request from Perriello to grant him a visa.”
