At least 23 people have been killed in heavy rains and subsequent landslides in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Many people have lost their homes in the past few days due to heavy rains in Brazil. Heavy rains have claimed up to 23 lives. The fatalities occurred in the city of Petropolis, north of Rio de Janeiro. It is feared the death toll could rise further.
During a visit to Moscow, Brazilian President Jair Bolzano took to Twitter to urge ministers to help flood-hit areas in Petropolis.
