Wine, the EU Parliament rejects health warnings on bottle labels
No cigarette-style writing on the wine bottles. The confirmation has finally arrived: today, Wednesday 16 February, the result of the vote of the so-called “Cancer Plan“, the Strategic plan for the fight against cancer. “There is a difference between harmful and moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages and it is not the consumption itself that constitutes a risk factor for the cancer“.
This is one of the changes to the report on Anti-cancer action plan approved byEuroparliament. From the text, the reference to health warnings on the label and introduced the call for improved labeling of alcoholic beverages with the inclusion of information on a moderate and responsible consumption.
