The director Carla Simn started from her personal story to tell the rural life. While the film by Paolo Taviani, the first without his brother Vittorio, receives the Fipresci award

L’Golden bear at the Berlin Film Festival 2022 went to the Spanish film Alcarras from Carla Simnpoetic exploration of rural life of a family, where traditions collide with a evolving future and the collective identity I’m at risk. The 35-year-old director of Barcelona starting from his personal history to build a cinematic one, choosing non-professional actors who speak the Catalan dialect. The director will receive the prize of the international criticism tonight, Wednesday 16 February, at 7.30 pm, at the Hackescher Hofe cinema, giving up the official ceremony at the Berlinale Palast which begins at 7 pm.
