In 2021, the set has risen in price by 60% – from 139.8 rubles. up to 233.19 rubles. Five years ago, a set cost 111.19 rubles.
In December 2020, the prices were as follows: 1 kg of cabbage – 20.88 against 52.59 rubles. in December 2021; 1 kg of potatoes – 29.15 against 46.57 rubles; beets – 29.2 against 43.08 rubles, carrots – 34.21 against 46.16 rubles, onions – 26.4 against 30.95 rubles, Rosstat reports RIA Novosti.
How prices for borscht set products have grown over five years (from January 2017 to January 2022):
- cabbage – from 18.46 rubles. up to 59.96 rubles;
- potatoes – from 20.8 rubles. up to 48.24 rubles;
- beets – from 22.52 rubles. up to 45.22 rubles;
- carrots – from 26.98 rubles. up to 48.37 rubles;
- onion – from 22.43 rubles. up to 31.4 rubles.
At the end of 2021, annual inflation was 8.4%, food inflation was 10.25%. The Bank of Russia expects prices to rise by 5.0–6.0% in 2022. Since the beginning of January 2022, prices have increased by 1.29%.
