The Community features of WhatsApp is about to be officially integrated into the most famous messaging service in the world, after months of work by Meta. This was revealed by the specialized site WABetaInfo which identified the new options in the beta version oflatest update of WhatsApp for iOS, after having found it in recent weeks also on Android. Community will allow group administrators on WhatsApp to have greater control over them and allow them to link groups to each otherfor example by sending a single message to multiple chats at the same time.
Moderators will be able to manage a real notice board with announcements and messages accessible to all participants, which will be reached at the same time. A very social function that, however, WhatsApp specifies to be only a shortcut and in any case protected by the end-to-end encryption that characterizes the entire service. The Communities icon will be square instead of round to distinguish the new feature from the rest of the messages, and each Community will be able to merge a maximum of ten groups within it. This is a useful function for distance learning situations, for example, or to bring together different brands of a single company.
