The Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) of Venezuela, which brings collectively the opposition events, confirmed to the diplomat, Edmundo González Urrutia, as a candidate for the subsequent elections presidential elections on July 28.
Based on the conglomerate, The candidate was elected to switch María Corina Machado, who was disqualified from holding elected workplace.
“To the democrats of the world, I need to offer you superb information. The Democratic Unitary Platform has simply unanimously authorised the candidacy of Ambassador Edmundo González Urrutia because the unity candidate,” introduced the manager secretary of the PUD, Omar Barboza.
Who’s Edmundo González
Edmundo González, the brand new candidate opposing the dictator, Nicolás Maduro, has 74 years previous and labored as ambassador in Algeria between 1991 and 1993 and in Argentina within the first years of Hugo Chávez’s authorities.
Together with this, he printed the books Democracy, Peace and Improvement, Venezuela and Colombia: a relationship of encounters and disagreements, and Venezuela-Argentina: two centuries of shared visions.
After the announcement of the PUD, Machado celebrated X on his account and wrote “Venezuelans, we advance”.
