It has been raining heavily in Brazil for the past few days. Rio de Janeiro continues to receive heavy rains. Heavy rains in one day caused rivers to overflow and flood.
Thus the water infiltrated into the towns. There were also landslides in various places. Many of these were buried in the soil. Soldiers were involved in the rescue operation. The bodies of those trapped in the floods and landslides were recovered. In the first phase, 54 people were reported dead.
