CellNow, the official importer of OnePlus phones, has taken a rather rare step in the market: it has made a local announcement for a future launch. This is the announcement of the brand’s OnePlus Nord CE 2 mid-range phone that will be launched in the local market on April 1 – and this is of course not a hoax, and according to the company, the launch in Israel will take place before many other European countries.
As already reported, the official announcement of One Plus’ new mid-range phone took place tonight, so the official importer’s announcement will be timed accordingly, and in Israel the recommended consumer price will be NIS 1,599.
So what change will CE 2 offer compared to its predecessor CE? The main change is the replacement of the MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. Beyond that it now offers WiFi 6 support as well as improved charging to 65 watts in SuperVOOV technology compared to 30 watts in the previous generation. Another slight change is that the 2-megapixel camera is now intended for macro photography and not for measuring the distance of a photo field. There is also the addition of a Gorilla Glass 5 protective screen.
Beyond that, the phones are almost identical: a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with + FHD resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 6/8 GB of working memory and 128 GB of storage memory, with 12/256 GB downloads off the shelf . Also for the first time in One Plus, it will be possible to expand the storage memory with an external memory card.
The selfie camera remains the same with a 16-megapixel sensor, as well as the 64-megapixel camera on the back with an electronic image stabilizer added, as well as an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 119-field photo fieldO. The fingerprint sensor is again below the screen, and the battery remains at 4,500 mAh. Actual sales globally are scheduled to begin on March 10th.
