“The Eighties” was one of the network’s most successful sitcom series, so it was produced for 5 seasons. The plot was written by Manny Asaig, about his brother, the comedian Shalom Asaig. The series accompanies his girls at his parents’ house in Tirat Carmel, alongside his family and friends from the neighborhood. The one who played the young Asaig, is his real life son Daniel.

After the great success, it was decided that it was time for the star to grow, and so the sequel series “The Nineties” was produced. This week a festive launch was held, which was attended by all the stars, and tonight the series will begin broadcasting after the newscast.
Private life documented for television
Right next to the rise of the comedy series about the life and family of Shalom Asaig, the series “The Raphaelis” will be hotly staged. This is a family reality series in the style of “The Buzaglos” or “The Kardashians”, which follows Bar Refaeli and her family members: mother Tzipi, father Rafi, and the brothers Dor and On.

In an interview ahead of the series’ rise, journalist Ran Boker asked Asaig if he would do such a family reality show, and the comedian replied: “The day I make a reality about my family you will realize I am in financial distress. My life is private, my affairs remain within my family.”
Shalom’s son, Daniel, who plays Shalom in the series, has previously participated in the “Connected” series, in which he documented his own life and that of his family, in which he revealed his past divorce. Shalom was asked how he says his family’s life is private against this background, and the latter replied: “I really did not want Daniel to do ‘Connected’, I am the opposite in this segment. And I always avoided it, I do not like it. “
