The successful and popular lingerie brand, which is known mainly for its beautiful and successful models, recently decided to add a young woman with Down Syndrome named Sophia Giro to the angel team. “It’s a dream come true,” she said in her first interview after joining
24-year-old Sofia Giro from Puerto Rico with Down Syndrome recently made history when she joined the angel team of the lingerie brand, Victoria’s Secret. Giro shared the happy and exciting news on her private Instagram page and wrote: “It’s a dream come true.”
She wrote: ‘I can finally reveal my biggest secret to the world. Many thanks to Victoria’s Secret for accepting me. ‘ Giro will reportedly join a special campaign that includes 17 more models. The brand said: “This is a new and festive collection, a crucial and important moment in the development of the brand, from the amazing women who take part to the amazing spirit on the set.”
Raoul Martinez, the brand’s creative director, did not remain indifferent to the choice and wrote: “This is an essential and important step in the new image of Victoria’s Secret that we are constantly trying to create.” The young Giro started her modeling career just two years ago, and already appeared last year at New York Fashion Week.
