Laureates of worldwide competitions Agaragim Guliyev (flute) and Eldaniz Alekberzadeh (piano), finding out at The École Normale de Musique de Paris “Alfred Cortot” in Paris, created the duet Duo Avey to advertise nationwide music, the France-Azerbaijan Dialogue Affiliation instructed Day.Az (Affiliation Dialogue France-Azerbaijan, ADFA).
“By performing works of Azerbaijani composers, younger musicians make an important contribution to the promotion of nationwide tradition in Europe. They signify each classical and trendy Azerbaijani music, demonstrating the richness and variety of our nationwide tradition. Over the previous two years, they’ve repeatedly carried out at varied venues in European international locations, inflicting nice curiosity and applause from listeners, which led to worldwide recognition and love for Azerbaijani music, having created the duo Duo Avey, Agarahim Guliyev and Eldaniz Alekberzadeh will make even higher joint efforts to advertise the pearls of nationwide music overseas,” the message says.
The duet’s repertoire consists of the works of Azerbaijani classics by Uzeir Hajibeyli, Fikret Amirova, Gara Garaeva, Arifa Melikova, Tofiga Guliyev and different composers.
“Our purpose is to find new types of feeling, and to convey, refresh and alter listeners’ understanding of classical music. By way of our performances, we invite listeners to create a deep emotional connection, to expertise the depth and wonder of every piece as if it had been the primary time. We invite listeners to discover unexplored areas of classical and Azerbaijani music, enriching the cultural construction of the musical world,” the musicians famous.
