A 9-year-old girl shirt (Saturday) at noon from a burning apartment in Rishon Lezion. She was evacuated to the hospital in fair condition, following smoke inhalation.
The report of the case was received at 12:00 at MDA’s 101 hotline in the Ayalon area, about a fire in an apartment in a residential building on David Wolfson Street in Rishon Lezion. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated the girl to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
MDA paramedic Ben Peled said: “When we arrived in the intensive care unit on the street, the father brought the girl to us while she was conscious and suffering from smoke inhalation. We immediately provided her with medical treatment that included high-concentration oxygen, in order to alleviate the difficulty in breathing, and we evacuated her for further treatment at the hospital when her condition was stable. “
The fire brigade said: “Fire and rescue teams from the Rishon Lezion station broke into the smoky apartment and began scanning operations to locate trapped people, during which they rescued the girl. The girl hid in the laundry room when the entire apartment was smoky.”
