Corona infection has been confirmed in 238 people in Chennai and 157 in Coimbatore today.

As the incidence of corona in Tamil Nadu has come down drastically, the Department of Medicine and Public Welfare today released a report on the current situation. Accordingly, 1,051 people have been diagnosed with the disease in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours. Today’s impact is down from 1146 yesterday. The total number of corona confirmed persons in the state has increased to 34 lakh 43 thousand 980.
Corona infection has been confirmed in 238 people in Chennai today. 157 people have been confirmed infected in Coimbatore, 96 in Chengalpattu and 55 in Erode. New cases of single digits have been reported in 13 districts.
Today, 3,561 people have been discharged after treatment in a single day. Thus the total number of people recovering from corona in Tamil Nadu has increased to 33 lakh 87 thousand 839.
Seven people have died in a single day today due to the corona virus infection. The death toll from the corona has risen to 37,977. The number of people receiving corona treatment across the state has dropped to 18,164.
