When Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh started speaking at an election campaign meeting in Uttar Pradesh, there was a stir as youths there chanted to stop him from speaking.
The Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are being held in 7 phases. There is direct competition between the ruling BJP and the main opposition Samajwadi Party. Leaders of both parties have been engaged in intense campaigning across the state. In that regard, a pro-BJP public meeting was held in Bijnor this afternoon. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was present on the occasion.
At this point, when he came and stood in front of the loudspeaker to speak, hundreds of young people, who were there, began to chant. They chanted slogans calling for job creation and recruitment in the army. Thus there was a stir for some time.
