Forensic examination of six phones of Dileep and his co-accused in the case of conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the case where the actress was attacked has been received. Indication that crucial information was received from the phones. The crime branch said the result was being checked.
It was sent to the forensic lab in Thiruvananthapuram for examination. Each copy was given to the Crime Branch and the court. Earlier, as part of the probe, Dileep and his co-accused went to the Chithranjali studio and handed over audio samples. Audio samples have also been sent for forensic examination.
Dileep handed over six of the seven phones to the probe team. If serious reports are found on the phone, the probe team may approach the high court seeking cancellation of Dileep’s bail.
Meanwhile, Dileep had approached the high court seeking quashing of the FIR in the conspiracy case. Dileep claims that there is no evidence to substantiate the allegations. Defendants claim in the petition that the case was fabricated by the Crime Branch and the FIR will not stand. However, the court said that the case could not be dismissed. The court sought an explanation from the government and adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
