Leading Hindi actress Alia Bhatt’s new film ‘Gangubai Kathyawadi’ has met with strong opposition. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Gangubai lived in Kamatipuram, Mumbai, in the 1960s. The film focuses on her life, which is referred to by the media as the ‘female grandfather’. According to the story, the young woman who was abandoned by her boyfriend is hugged by a grandfather and cared for like her sister.

His adopted son Babu Raoji Shah and other family members have strongly objected to the film, claiming that the protagonist Ganguly is portrayed as engaging in sex work.
