Leading Hindi actress Alia Bhatt’s new film ‘Gangubai Kathyawadi’ has met with strong opposition. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Gangubai lived in Kamatipuram, Mumbai, in the 1960s. The film focuses on her life, which is referred to by the media as the ‘female grandfather’. According to the story, the young woman who was abandoned by her boyfriend is hugged by a grandfather and cared for like her sister.

The story is that the woman, who lives in the area where the sex industry takes place, later goes to Dada’s closet and heads the largest rowdy mob under him.

His adopted son Babu Raoji Shah and other family members have strongly objected to the film, claiming that the protagonist Ganguly is portrayed as engaging in sex work.

“My mother has been shown as an expensive daughter. This is unacceptable, ”says Babu.

“The way Ganguly is portrayed is completely wrong. Which family would accept the portrayal of a social activist as a sex worker? It is unacceptable to portray him as a ‘mafia’, “said the family.

While the Ganguly family has said that it is not right for a leading heroine like Alia Bhatt to act without knowing the truth, many have posted on social media for and against Alia.
