Shiomi has announced the gaming smartphone Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming At a price starting from $ 520. Sales have already begun in China and will currently remain solely in China as Shiomi has not yet announced the date of arrival in the global markets and their prices.

Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming comes with a 6.67-inch OLED screen, 1080 × 2400 resolution, refresh rate of 120 Hz, support for a billion colors and the HDR10 + standard, pixel density of 395ppi and with Victorian gorilla glass.

The device processor is Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which comes with 8 GB of operating memory along with a storage capacity of 128 GB. In addition, there is a configuration with 12 GB of operating memory and storage volumes of 128 or 256 GB. The storage memories come in the UFS3.1 standard and the device has no room to enlarge them by adding a memory card.

In order to cool the processor Shiomi has opened a new steam chamber which is supposed to lower the temperature of the processor. In addition, the company has incorporated graphite surfaces, stainless steel and mesh materials in order for all of these to help cool the device. As a gaming device which is supposed to work at the maximum resulting in producing a lot of heat, Shiomi puts a lot of emphasis on its cooling.

The camera system includes 3 sensors with the main camera being 64 megapixels based on the Sony IMX 686 sensor with an aperture key of f / 1.7. The second camera is of 8 megapixels with an aperture key of f / 2.2 designed for wide shots at an angle of 120 degrees. The third sensor is a 2 megapixel macro sensor. The selfie camera protrudes from a small hole in the center of the top of the screen and is a 20-megapixel camera based on the Sony IMX596 sensor. The device is capable of shooting at a resolution of 4K @ 60fps.

The device has a battery with a power of 4,700 mAh together with a fast wired charge of 120 watts. The Redmi K50 Gaming comes without a headphone jack and with a fingerprint reader which is located on the side of the device. In addition, on the right side of the device, Shiomi has placed 2 captive buttons designed for use while playing, similar to the previous generation of the device. The smartphone comes with an innovative vibration motor and a pair of stereo JBL speakers with a metal frame with a glass back.
