Two weeks ago Michael Ben David Won the finals of the “X Factor” program and won Israel’s representative for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Turin, Italy. Despite the bright future, in Israel today it is announced that the singer is considering retiring, and giving the honor to someone else.

Who represented Israel?

The song with which Ben-David represented Israel is IM, which was chosen by Scouts here 11 in a special program held before the X Factor finale. The song was played by quite a few radio stations, but Israel is still relatively low in the betting table, and currently stands at 33rd place, while in first place, stable and by a large margin from the other countries, is the host country Italy.

According to reports, a source close to the matter said that Michael had encountered policies that deprived him of the right to represent Israel with dignity, so he said he would not go there to humiliate the flag.

If Michael retires, the public broadcasting corporation will be in big trouble, because the deadline for choosing the representative and the Israeli song are not for their choice, but depend on the production of the entire Eurovision Song Contest.
