The Federation of Jewish Communities in Ukraine issued a call today (Sunday) to Jews in the country to update the addresses and telephone numbers of the offices of local Jewish communities, for more security and in case the pessimistic predictions of war come true. This is to try and reach out in case of need to those who need help.
“We are seeing an increase in the number of referrals among Holocaust survivors, the elderly, the disabled and the disabled – and we are increasing aid.” Said the Federation. The heads of the organization hold ongoing update talks with the Kiev administration and ambassadors.
In parallel with the preparations, rabbis and leaders of the “Federation of Jewish Communities in Ukraine”, which is the largest Jewish umbrella organization in Ukraine uniting 160 communities across the country, call on the public to abound in Torah, prayer and charity.
